Herluf Hermansen from the Deiggj Band has passed away
It is a sad news to tell that our great drummer Herluf Hermansen died on Sunday the 5´th of April in the evening at 6 pm on a Hospital In Torshavn!
He has been bravely fighting against cancer for almost 2 years.
One of his biggest wishes was to meet John Lawton again because he got sick just 10 days before our first gig with John Lawton at the Jóansøkufestival in Faroe Islands in June 2007. He did everything to come with us to Granada – and he was really looking forward to meet the ex Heep members John, Ken, Lee and Paul. He also wanted to win the fight and come with us to Easy Linving in Salo in Finland, but this time have to listen to the heepsongs from heaven.
He was happy that he managed to come to Spain – and he met a lot people that he talked to !
Some months ago, when he was getting treatment in Denmark, he got an electric electric drumkit for practising!
He put a lot of music stof on Youtube. He has got a lot of friends on Youtube. Try to look here it is amazing:

Herluf was not married - but was lucky to have wonderful brother Emil and some lovly parents Bjarki and Emmy - we love them all.
We will miss him as good friend and a great drummer! .

He was Truly a nice and wonderful guy when me and Sanna met him first - and last time - in Heepvention 08. We had many long and great conversations with Herluf. I'm glad that I hear him playing live with Deiggj Band and all other Heepsters.. This was very, very sad surprise but I hope that Herluf continue his drumming in better place.
Our condolences to all Herluf's family and friends.
